Varberg in Halland, Sweden has a long tradition as a tourist destination. The popular beach promenade is over a hundred years old. It ranges from the all-year-round cold bath house (Kallbadhuset, from 1903) in the north to the Apelviken beach in the south.
On the asphalt promenade you can not only go for a walk, but also cycle and jog. At a normal walking pace you need around an hour for the 5 km long route – if you don’t stop too often because of white bottoms, because you pass several nudist beaches on the way (and they have nice names like Käringhålan and Godahopp).
